The child in me

riddhi sharma poem child photo
The child in me wants
To run after the planes in the skies
And bid them goodbyes

The child in me wants
To play till my feet hurt
and shoulders begin to droop

The child in me wants
To spend the day doing nothing
Without a tinge of guilt

The child in me wants
To dream about things
And not how they are impossible to achieve

The child in me wants
To listen to tales of magic
And believe in them effortlessly

The child in me wants
To make new friends
for real and not virtually

The child in me wants
To engage in senseless chatter
And not feel like a fool, while at it

The child in me wants
To speak my heart
without the fear of being judged

Alas! The child in me wants to
be a child.. And stay like that forever

  1. Everyone has a child in him/her. Only a few skilled with worlds, like you, can bring it out.
