Mental health is pivotal to our overall wellbeing. Lately, a lot of celebrities and influencers have dared to come out in the open and spoken about mental health. I was surprised to see that the society still doesn’t feel ok about voicing out their personal suffering.
Feeling lonely, depressed or emotionally claustrophobic is not usual or ordinary for any person. It is ok to not feel ok, but not ok to not seek help. And issues relating to mental health should never be taken lightly. I recently chanced upon a campaign run by Mpower which is promoting mental health awareness with a cycling marathon.

But, sadly I do not know how to ride one. Hence, here I am trying to do my bit by letting you know that you should join the Ride to Mpower 2018 which aims at spreading mental health awareness and challenging stigma experienced by people with mental health problems. Make sure you register for the cause as the last day is tomorrow.
It is true that whatever that affects our body, affects our mind too. Hence, don’t ignore the signals, it is essential to take care of our bodies in order to take care of our minds. A healthy mind is calm and ready to face the world with all its problems.
Mpower constantly tries to create awareness around the cause with its rich network of individuals, professionals, and organizations, they aim to put an end to the stigma associated with mental health. It is important and need of the hour to encourage dialogue around mental health. Mpower is the brainchild of Mrs. Neerja Birla and Ms. Ananya Birla. Do your bit!
