Closet

A white little notebook
Had glimpses of him
Dried petals
To remind me of
the very first love …

Maroon hard bound book
Dog eared pages
Of ‘The sleeping beauty’
First dreams and fancies
Gifted by dad …

Black fountain pen
that pernicious little thing
tricked the world
into numerical magic
on my scandulous marksheet..

A rolling pin
Miniscule stove
A broken arm of a
Blonde porcelain doll
Treasured pieces of
A memorable childhood

  2. I like how you've not gone overtly emotional via your lines in this piece that showcase "a memorable childhood". It makes this a different read! Good job! Keep writing!!!

  3. Hey right now when i clicked back, the poem went to its first draft which technically not expected as I'm not continuing with the same page as yesterday. Surely Blogger is up to something. Or may be my laptop has begun to spin unwarranted magic.
